Deacon Charles Outlaw

As the day draws closer to the end than when it began, the E.M. Matthews Family joins with loving arms wrapped around the loved ones of Deacon Charles Outlaw, as we embark on the “Last Mile” on this side of Heaven with him.  Deacon Outlaw stepped out of life’s backdoor on Sunday, August 10, 2025 while resting in his residence surrounded by his loving family in Dudley, NC.

On Friday, August 15, 2025 commencing at 12noon, there will be a Triumphant Legacy Celebration at Smith Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Mt. Olive, NC. There will be an hour of gathering and visitation prior to the service from 11am to 12noon, as Deacon Outlaw’s earthen vessel lies in a state of tranquility and eternal peace at the altar in Smith Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Deacon Outlaw was so much to so many and it will be difficult with him no longer being with us on this side.  However, those who loved him can find solace knowing, he is now strolling the streets paved with pure gold free from all of life’s fitful fevers. There, he’s sitting at the Welcome Table feasting on milk and honey while enjoying being in the presence of his Heavenly Father. 

The family is receiving guests at the home located at 931 Old Mt. Olive Hwy. Dudley, NC, where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious E.M. Matthews Ebony Motorcade.
