Mrs. George put down the cares of this life on Friday, May 19, 2023, while resting in Vidant-Duplin Medical Center in Kenansville, NC.

Services to honor this radiant gem will begin on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 with hours of visiting and reflecting from 5pm until 7pm, as Mrs. George lies in peaceful repose in Life Celebration Chapel on the Batchelor Brothers campus in Goldsboro, NC. Events will climax on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 commencing at 2pm as a Triumphant Celebration of Life Ceremony comes forth at Big Zion AME Zion Church in Kenansville, NC. Following the services in the house of worship, Mrs. Shirley’s delicate vessel along with her adored family, will be escorted to Devotional Gardens in Warsaw, NC for Entombment Rites. As difficult as it will be for Shirley’s family to cope and continue this walk of life without her, all will find solace knowing she is in that land where there is a tree and its leaves are good for the healing of all infirmities. There, Mrs. George is resting by the brook flowing with living water, forever resting in eternal splendor.

The family is receiving guests at 990 Carlton Chapel Church Rd. Warsaw, NC, where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Batchelor Brothers Ebony Motorcade.
