With heavy hearts and solemn emotions, the loved ones of Mr. Douglas Oaten are preparing to say “so long” to a vital link to their family’s chain and are being assisted with this difficult task by the E.M. Matthews Funeral Establishment Family. Mr. Oaten transitioned from labor to reward on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at UNC Wayne in Goldsboro, NC.
The Legacy Remembering events will commence on Sunday, January 12, 2025, between the hours of 2 pm and 3 pm in the main sanctuary of Wave of Glory Faith Ministries located at 915 McDaniel St. Goldsboro, NC for moments of visitation and reflection. Beginning at 3 pm, a Triumphant Obsequious Service will begin also at Wave of Glory Faith Ministries. The Master’s promise has been revealed in Mr. Oaten. He promised three-score years and ten, which is seventy years old. Mr. Oaten was truly a Godly man because our Heavenly Father saw fit to allow his family and friends to borrow him for 75 years. Now that he has finished his task here on earth, he is resting in paradise and enjoying the Heavenly Host.
E.M. Matthews and The Compassionate Professionals of E.M. Matthews Funeral Establishment are working diligently to provide the Oaten and connected families the unconditional love and support needed to make it through this journey.
