Mr. James E. Artis

With heavy hearts and solemn emotions, the loved ones of Mr. James E. Artis are preparing to say “so long” to a special link to their family’s chain and are being assisted with this difficult task by the Batchelor Brothers Family. Mr. Artis went down to the ticketing office on Friday, November 10, 2023 while at UNC Wayne Health and the train conductor Jesus Christ issued him a boarding pass bound for life in Paradise. 

On Friday, November 17, 2023, Loving “Farewell” events will take place beginning with moments of visitation, between the hours of 5pm and 7pm in the Batchelor Brothers Life Celebration Chapel. A Service of Remembrance will come forth on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 1pm also in First Missionary Baptist Church in Fremont, NC. Following the services at the church, Mr. James’ physical temple along with his adored family will be escorted to the Golden Gate Memorial Gardens in Pikeville, NC for Committal Rites. Although Mr. Artis closed the drapes on this daily walk called life, those whom he loved and loved him can find solace knowing he has walked into the Garden of Rest, where everyday is as peaceful and beautiful as a bright Sunday morning and the sunlight brightens the day from the rays of our Heavenly Father.

Guests are being received at 805 Chesnut St. Fremont, NC, where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Batchelor Brothers Ebony Motorcade.
