Mr. Vernon Sykes III “Jay”

It is with an abundance of sorrow that the Batchelor Brothers Family announces the sudden departure of Mr. Vernon Sykes III affectionately known as “Jay”. Mr. Sykes transitioned from this life to life eternal on Friday, July 14, 2023 at UNC Wayne Health in Goldsboro, NC.

Time has been set aside by the family for those who wish to come and express their condolences, while paying homage to “Jay”, beginning on Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 10am to 11am in the main chapel of Batchelor Brothers Funeral Establishment. Services to remember “Jay” will begin at 11am also in the Batchelor Brothers Life Celebration Chapel. Following the service, Mr. Sykes’ mortal frame along with his devoted family, will be escorted to Golden Gate Cemetery in Pikeville, NC for Committal Rites. During these “so-long” events, those in attendance will be able to bring some sense of closure during this moment of sadness, while relying on their faith in the Master to see them through the difficult days that lie ahead. 

Visitors are being accepted at the residence located at 101 Laulas Pl., Pikeville, NC, where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Batchelor Brothers Ebony Motorcade. 

The Sykes and connected families are receiving services of compassion and distinguished class from the Batchelor Brothers Servants of Service.
