In extreme sorrow, the staff of E.M. Matthews Funeral Home is embracing the tender hearts of our very own along with the other special loved ones of Ms. Fannie J. Vann. Ms. Vann received her angelic wings on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 , while resting at Vidant Medical Center in Kenansville, NC. 

The Glorious and Amazingly beautiful Life Celebration events have been methodically orchestrated and will proceed in the following order. Beginning on Friday, November 14, 2025 between the hours of 4pm and 6pm, a public gathering will come forth as Ms. Vann lies in a tranquil repose in the E.M. Matthews Funeral Home Chapel in Goldsboro, NC . On Saturday, November 15, 2025 being called to order promptly at 1pm, the Angelic Obsequies fit for Heaven’s Royal Priesthood will take place at McKoy’s Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Coats, NC.  At the conclusion of the Triumphant “Send Off”, Ms. Vann’s delicate temple with her adored relatives, will be escorted to her earthly waiting room called Matthews Family Cemetery also in Coats, NC until her name is called to receive her crown of Righteousness . Ms. Vann is now anticipating Gabriel to sound the trumpet and the skies open once and for all, the Master Himself will calling her name saying Sue “you’ve been faithful, you’ve been true and you’ve done all you could ever do and for your faithfulness, ITS YOUR TIME. 

Guests are being received at the residence located at 343 Community Rd. Warsaw, N.C.,where they assemble in preparation for the Prestigious E.M. Matthews Ebony Motorcade. 

Every staff member of the E.M. Matthews Family is providing any measure of assistance available on earth to the entire Vann and connected families during this difficult moment in their lives.
