It has become the solemn duty of the E.M. Matthews Funeral Establishment family to serve notice that Ms. Helen Barnett entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC. 

Precious moments have been set aside by this devoted family on Sunday, February 16, 2025, between the hours of 4pm and 8pm in the main chapel of E.M. Matthews Funeral Establishment in Goldsboro, NC. During this time, family and friends can gather to embrace each other as the healing process begins, while reflecting on everlasting memories of Helen. A Service to remember this precious jewel will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 1pm at St. Mark Freewill Baptist Church located at 222 Nelson St. in Mt. Olive, NC. Following the services in the sanctuary, Ms. Barnett's earthen vessel along with her adored family will be escorted to Carver Memorial Park in Mt. Olive, NC for Committal Rites. Yes, this is as far as Ms. Barnett's relatives can trod with her on this side of eternity, however, John the Revelator has sent good news to Helen's loving family when he wrote, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and they shall be no more death neither sorrow because the former things have passed away."  Let the church say.........Amen.
