Ms. Lathoisa Kornegay “Wink”

Bowing in humbled submission to the will of our Heavenly Father, it has become the solemn responsibility of Batchelor Brothers Funeral Establishment to inform all, that Ms. Lathoisa Kornegay affectionately known as “Wink” is now resting in paradise. Ms. Kornegay put down the cares of this life on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro, NC.  

Services to commemorate the legacy of Ms. Kornegay will begin with a public visitation on Friday evening, September 23, 2022  between the hours of 4pm and 7pm, where Ms. Kornegay will lie in a tranquil repose in the main chapel of Batchelor Brothers  Funeral Establishment. The events will climax with an intimate Obsequies on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 1pm in the A.B. Hobbs Memorial Chapel on the campus of Batchelor Brothers Funeral Establishment 708 S. Slocumb St., Goldsboro, NC.  Following the celebration in the funeral home chapel, Ms. Kornegay along with her adored family will be escorted to Old Mill Cemetery for Interment Rites. During these “so-long” events, those in attendance will be able to bring some sense of closure during this moment of sadness, while relying on their faith in the Master to see them through the difficult days that lie ahead..

A multitude of fond memories of “Wink” will always be cherished by her 2 sons: Timothy Fenderson and Kaliea Fenderson; her parents: Adell Kornegay and Elmer Lee; 2 sisters: Kimona Kornegay and Joyce Ann Thompson-Taylor; 1 brother: Tony Lee and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. 

Visitors are being received at the residence, where they will also assemble in preparation for the Batchelor Brothers Ebony Funeral Cortège.
