The moment has been determined by God and the task has been given to the Batchelor Brothers Family to advise everyone that Ms. Rachel Davis departed Kitty Askins Hospice Center on Thursday, February 15, 2024, leaving her bags behind but holding the hands of two angels dressed in white. No one said anything because all knew where she was going.
On Wednesday morning, February 21, 2024 Ms. Davis’ family has elected to honor her life beginning with moments of visitation at Wayne Memorial Park South in Dudley from 10:30am to 11am. At the conclusion of the visitation at 11am, a formal “farewell” ceremony will be called to order. Immediately following the formalities printed in the Order of Service, Ms. Rachel’s delicate vessel will be interred into her earthly resting room. One may wonder why Ms. Davis would leave her earthly belongings here when she departed this past Thursday, however, those close to her find comfort understanding that where Rachel is now there was no need for any of her earthly garments or shoes because she has a pair of Golden Slippers and a Long White Robe.
E.M. Matthews and The Compassionate Professionals of Batchelor Brothers Funeral Establishment are serving Ms. Rachel’s precious loved ones with uncompromising dignity and compassion.
