As all remain in extreme sorrow and astonishing disbelief, the E.M. Matthews Funeral Establishment Family has been charged with the solemn responsibility to announce, that Mrs.Ruby Exum Coney of Goldsboro, NC has transitioned from this life into life eternal. Ruby made this permanent change of address this past Tuesday, December 10, 2024. 

Celebration of Life events will begin with a time of reflection on Sunday, December 29, 2024 between the hours of 10am and 11am, as Mrs. Coney rests in tranquil repose, in the main chapel of E.M. Matthews Funeral Establishment in Goldsboro, NC. Immediately following the visiting hours at 11am, “The Farewell Ceremony” will be called to order. Following the Order of Divine Worship, Mrs. Ruby’s delicate vessel along with her adored family will be escorted to Golden Gate Cemetery in Pikeville, NC for the Committal Rites. Yes, it will be heartbreaking for her family and relatives to depart from the designed earthly resting place without Ruby, however, the shout through it all is that on the day Gabriel Sounds his Glorious Trumpet, those who are sleeping in the faith, shall rise up to meet Him in the Great Coronation. John the Revelator has sent good news to Mrs. Coney’s loving family when he wrote, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and they shall be no more death neither sorrow because the former things have passed away."
